Waste washing

The technology principle is based on extraction. Toxic substances are transferred from solid waste to a suitable liquid extraction agent, from which they are subsequently removed. Efficiency and rate of the washing process is mostly influenced by a range of factors resulting from physical-chemical properties of treated waste, character of removed contaminants, extraction agent choice, configuration of technology equipment and specified level of residual waste contamination. From the above-mentioned reason it is necessary to view this technology application possibility with regards to specific conditions and requirements. For extraction of organic substances water solution of surfactants is the most frequently used, for extraction of inorganic substances a water solution of different acids, or alkalis, is used.
